Friendly Matches against Chigwell School from UK

On August 3rd 2009, selected members of the HK Development Team and some of the Youth squad members played 3 friendly matches against Chigwell School from the UK.  The games were played in high spirit and balls were evenly contested.  At the end, the HK teams came away with three close wins.    For the HK girls, this was a valuable experience to play against netballers from another country.  The HK girls had the opportunity to experience the different playing style, the physical nature and the competitive spirit from Chigwell.  

Congratulations to the 10 girls who were selected from the development training courses.  These girls were selected from a group of around 40 girls who have been committed to the training course for over 18 weeks.  A lot of these girls are still quite young and they will be aiming to get into the Youth squad in the coming future.  Well done to the following girls:         Yip Yi Man, Annie Lee, Louise Woo, Karen Yuen, Peggy Wong, Stephanie Lam, Irene Yip, Fiona Chan, Cheryl Or and Mandy Tai.

Also special THANK YOU to the ladies who umpired the three games, they were; Regina Wong, Rosanna Wong, Iris Chan, Michelle Cowan, Joanne De Vries and Joy Manion.
